A project funded by a Transfer-to-Action Fellowship grant (CIPSEM, TU Dresden), implemented by Agrie Conservation. Pervious Oyster Shell Habitat (POSH) units made from waste oyster shells are designed to dampen wave energy and trap sediment, with the aim of supporting mangrove regeneration. Two post-installation monitoring visits found the units stable in position and beginning to be colonised by molluscs.
With local communities
Delivered together with Pokmaswas Tanjung Widoro.
Outputs
60POSH units installed (target 10)
20coastal women in the oyster reef seminar
5residents trained to produce POSH
